YapBooking is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
Data Collected
We collect the following personal data when you submit a booking request: full name, email address, phone number, and your pet's health details (vaccination status and special requirements). This data is collected solely to process your booking request.
Lawful Basis for Processing
Processing is based on your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and the performance of a pre-contractual arrangement (Art. 6(1)(b)). Pet health data is processed based on your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)).
Data Retention
Your personal data is retained for the minimum period necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations, not exceeding 24 months after your booking request is closed.
How We Share and Store Your Data
We store and use your personal data only to process your booking; we do not use it for any other purpose. The only third parties who receive your data are the partner hotels, and they receive solely the details needed to fulfil your stay — no other information. To run the service and store your data securely, we rely on trusted IT infrastructure and service providers that act only on our behalf and under our instructions.
International Data Transfers
Some of the IT infrastructure and service providers we use may store or process your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Your GDPR Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your personal data, as well as to object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. If you have a YapBooking account, you can download a copy of your data and permanently delete your account directly from your profile page. You can also exercise any of these rights using the form below or by contacting us at contact@yapbooking.com.
