Our experience with EliteK9 has been great. Douro has been there for a month and a half, and the transformation in his behaviour is truly remarkable. No reactivity towards other dogs and he’s noticeably calmer and obedient. Huge kudos to the EliteK9 team - the results speak for themselves. This is based on what I’ve seen firsthand. We've been training with Andre for a little while now, and the difference in our dog's behavior has been amazing. One of our main challenges was reactivity, especially around other dogs. Thanks to Andre's guidance, we've been able to make real progress—our dog is much calmer, and there are even times he doesn’t react at all. Andre also taught us how to recognize the early signals of reactivity, which helps us redirect him before he gets fixated. It’s made our walks so much more relaxed and enjoyable. Andre also provided us with great tools, including a leash and collar setup that made a big difference in managing our dog’s pulling. Since our pup is very excited and full of energy, walking him used to be a real challenge. Now it’s so much easier and more manageable. It’s been a great overall experience, and we’re really grateful for Andre’s support and expertise - highly recommend for anyone especially trying to work with reactiveness and anxiety! Andre has been really focused on helping us address our dog’s anxiety, offering practical tips and strategies to manage it better. It’s clear he genuinely cares about both the dog and the owners, and that makes a huge difference.

The worst pet hotel we have experienced in Portugal. We left our dogs here for what was to be a weekend however after seeing the cage were our dogs were put into, full of faeces and urine, and the cage next to our dogs had a poor beagle alone and bloodied on his snout we cut our dogs stay short and never returned. We were not surprised when a couple of months ago we heard the news (and saw the videos) that dogs were being beaten and a few had died in this hotel/school. Keep your dogs far from these people.

I had the chance to work with André and he is an amazing dog trainer! We did 9 sessions for my 18-month-old Samoyed, Kosmos, and the results were remarkable. We worked on leash walking, heel, sit, down, stay, and recall. Kosmos has improved so much—we can now travel with her without any issues. I’m so happy with the progress we made and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a professional and effective dog trainer.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Life-Changing Experience When I moved to Portugal, I brought my two-year-old European Doberman, Dobby, with me. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to properly train or socialize him. As a result, he became highly reactive and aggressive toward strangers and other dogs. After extensive research, I came across Mario and his team at Elite K9, and I cannot express how grateful I am that I did. From the moment I reached out, they responded with professionalism, compassion, and a well-structured plan tailored to Dobby’s needs. They recommended an intensive training program: the first month at their facility with no contact, followed by a second month where I would gradually reintegrate into his training through group socialization. Leaving Dobby in someone else’s care for such a long time was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I trusted their expertise. Their team is highly qualified in handling aggressive dogs, and their dedication to each dog’s well-being is evident. They conducted a vet check and provided me with weekly video updates, which, despite my initial anxiety, gave me so much reassurance. The transformation I’ve seen in Dobby is nothing short of incredible. Within just a month, his reactivity significantly decreased. Now, over 3 months into the program, he can walk calmly alongside other dogs, interact with new people, and remain completely unfazed in situations that would have once triggered aggression. I never thought I would see this level of improvement in such a short time! I cannot thank Mario and his phenomenal team enough for their patience, dedication, and the care they put into helping Dobby become the best version of himself. I wholeheartedly recommend Elite K9.
